WHAT IS CAWS?

CAWS (Cascadians Against White Supremacy) is a non-partisan, volunteer organization aimed at educating about and acting against white supremacist action within the Cascadia bioregion. It was created as a reaction to the rise of white supremacist organizations, and those using symbols and language of the Cascadia movement.

CAWS organizers hope to be a bridge to help create spaces for POC, front-line and traditionally marginalized voices within the Cascadia movement, to directly support those causes, and to educate about Cascadia and WS groups and tactics currently active.

We do so via independently run work groups and semi-annual CAWS summits.

WHAT IS A CAWS SUMMIT?

CAWS Summits feature TEDx-style personal and educational presentations, musical guests, and performances. We seek to amplify POC voices and experiences by featuring art, projects, and personal presentations of POC. Each summit culminates in resistance art making work shops, sponsored by Cascadia Underground.

CAWS Summits occur on a semi-annual basis. For information on the next CAWS Summit, or to RSVP, please visit the associated web page through the top menu.

If you would like to support the CAWS summits by providing food, beverage, location, or by presentiing, please email us at JoinTheCAWS@gmail.com, or though our "Contact Us" page.
